Description
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Inspire Analytics Private Limited is creating a new software development group based in Chennai to work alongside our India based data science group and with our US based engineering and product owners. Inspire is the vital community that supports millions of patients and caregivers, advances understanding of the health journey, and partners with the medical community to accelerate life-changing discoveries and we are seeking an experienced Swift developer to support and enhance our iOS app. You will work with cross-functional teams to create and maintain the premier platform for patients and caregivers to connect with one another and support each other throughout their personal health journey. From concept to implementation and delivery, you will collaborate with teams to bring Inspire features to life on our app.

Our Senior App Developer will be responsible for:
- Working with Product Owners and Stakeholders to understand requirements and user stories for new features including MyInspire
- Working with designers to understand the user’s experience for new features
- Designing and building features for our iOS app
- Developing unit tests along with features and integration tests into the development process
- Using GitHub to version control software
- Collaborating with our full-stack engineers to design APIs which efficiently serve the app as well as our web application.
- Working with our QA team to assist with troubleshooting issues
- Maintaining current capabilities of our app which includes debugging and fixing issues while maintaining code quality
- Collaborating with stakeholders, especially our Community team, to ensure the successful deployment of our app releases
Requirements
WHAT WE NEED:
Our next teammate will have skills and/or knowledge that includes:
- At least 5 years of proven experience in building iOS applications for Apple mobile platforms
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles in Swift or Objective-C
- Experience using RESTful APIs to develop apps. Experience using graphQL is a plus
- Experience using third-party libraries to implement app functionality. Experience using Firebase/*, Google-Mobile-Ads-SDK, and Analytics is a plus
- Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
- Proficient in using an IDE for iOS development such as XCode
- Skilled at troubleshooting and debugging apps using tools such as Charles proxy
- Understanding of benchmarking and optimization techniques
- Experience working in an Agile team development environment
- Ability and interest in learning new technologies, techniques and processes
- System-aware: cognizant of how changes affect other parts of the system including how app features align with our web product
- Proficient in working with Jira and Confluence is a plus
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, constantly changing atmosphere and able to prioritize work and communicate challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to interact with technical and non-technical team members with experience working with both local and remote teams
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is preferred
Preferred Skills:
- Swift or SwiftUI experience is preferred
