Project Description
About This Case Study
In partnership with Stanford University School of Medicine, Inspire wanted to learn if potentially life saving information on Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) and other side effects from treatment were hidden in the advice, support, and helping discussions among thousands of patients and caregivers on Inspire.
1) Find out if data mining techniques and natural language processing are effective in detecting ADRs in large data sets.
2) Learn about depth of information shared by patients and caregivers online.
3) Understand the benefits of online data mining for pharmacovigilance.
